Indonesia Initiates Interim Anti‑Dumping Review on Tinplate Originating from China

On 9 June 2026, Indonesia’s Anti‑Dumping Committee (KADI) issued Announcement No. AD.03/430/KADI/PENG/06/2026. Upon the petition filed by domestic producer PT Pelat Timah Nusantara Tbk. (PT Latinusa, Tbk.), Indonesia launched an interim anti‑dumping review investigation into tinplate (Tinplate Coil/Sheet) originating from China. The review will examine whether adjustments shall be made to the existing anti‑dumping duties imposed on Chinese subject goods. The subject products fall under Indonesian tariff codes 7210.12.10 and 7210.12.90.
Looking back at the case history, Indonesia initiated the original anti‑dumping investigation on tinplate originating from the Chinese mainland, Chinese Taipei and the Republic of Korea on 25 June 2012. On 15 January 2014, through Announcement No.10/PMK.011/2014, Indonesia imposed definitive anti‑dumping duties on subject products from the above‑mentioned jurisdictions. The duty rate for products from the Chinese mainland stood at 6.1%‑7.4%, with the initial validity expiring on 14 February 2019.
Indonesia subsequently conducted two sunset reviews. Affirmative final rulings were rendered on 31 December 2018 and 4 October 2024 respectively, extending the anti‑dumping measures.
